West Worcestershire's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate. Richard Burt today announced that local Liberal Democrats, assisted by staff from Bransford EOC, will deliver the most comprehensive health survey ever to be conducted in the constituency through 37,000 letterboxes over the next few weeks, giving local people a chance to deliver their verdict on plans to close Bransford Ambulance Emergency Control.
Speaking from the party's annual conference at Brighton, Richard Burt said:
"Our plans to conduct a comprehensive health survey across the constituency have presented an ideal opportunity to ask people in West Worcestershire to give their verdict on West Midlands Ambulance Trust plans to close our local Ambulance Emergency Control."
"We have included a question asking whether or not local residents support the Trust's plans to close Bransford, and I have asked people to return their response to me by return of post so that we can deliver local people's verdict to the Trust.
"I have not spoken to a single resident who supports the closure plans. It is quite clear that local people would like to see Bransford maintained and enhanced as jointly proposed by myself and staff in order to give Worcestershire and Herefordshire the best possible ambulance emergency cover for the future."
