The heady days of giant-killing Hereford United returned last night when the Bulls put Leeds United out of the FA Cup beating them 1-0 at Elland Road. MP for Hereford, Paul Keetch, reminisced about the match against Newcastle back in the 70s when he was just a lad and how glorious that was for Hereford who are again kicking the big boys out of the Cup.
"I clearly remember the Newcastle match and the Ronnie Radford goal - not just because it has been on TV but because I was at the match," the MP said, "and to beat Leeds United at Elland Road is just as brilliant and stirs so many memories of Hereford United's cup runs in recent times.
"I have sent my congratulations to Graham Turner, the team and staff and wish them the best of luck in the next round against Hartlepool. I am sure we will all be rooting for Hereford once again!"
