BURT JOINS PRAISE FOR MACMILLAN FUNDRAISERS

Solihull's MP, Lorely Burt has added her support to a motion in Parliament highlighting Macmillan Cancer Support's flagship fundraising effort for this year, the World's Biggest Coffee Morning, taking place on 26th September.
Lorely Burt MP said:
"Last year's event was strongly supported by so many in Solihull and saw over 50,000 people holding a coffee morning nationwide to help improve the lives of people living with cancer. An incredible £7.5 million was raised by those taking part.
"I hope that the event will be even bigger and better this year, and would encourage anyone who is thinking of running a coffee morning to register now and encourage their family and friends to take part. Visit the Macmillan Cancer Support website or call the hotline on 0845 602 1246 to register your own event - it's as easy as putting the kettle on!"
