Richard Burt said he was "deeply disappointed" as he finally admitted defeat in his efforts to get a turning point for high speed trains in Malvern Wells moved.
At Richard's request, First Great Western and Network Rail had been investigating ways to try to find a solution since last summer, but he has now received a letter from First Great Western saying they could not provide a solution without expensive re-signalling or failing to meet contracted passenger service targets.
"This is deeply disappointing for residents in Fruitlands who have had to put up with this noise and disturbance ever since the turning point was introduced.
"It is a great pity that more consultation with local residents did not take place before the change. Now it seems they will have to live with the consequences at least until the next major shake-up of services.
"First Great Western have issued new instructions to their drivers to keep noise to a minimum, but I'm afraid this is scant comfort for residents who suffer disturbance from 5 o'clock in the morning nearly every day."
