Like the Federal Party, the West Midlands Liberal Democrats holds its own Spring and Autumn Regional Conferences, at which elected Regional Conference Representatives can debate and decide on policy that is specific to the West Midlands region.
Whilst the Regional areas cannot change a national policy, specific regional policies can focus on the needs of the area.
Now that the Liberal Democrats are part of the UK Government, formation of policy has never been so important. Clearly we can't get all of our policies in action, however with a recent independent study showing that 75% of our manifesto is either inplemented or about to be, now is the ideal time to give your ideas on policy.
Attending regional conference policy fringes and keeping in touch with Policy Committee Chair, Jon Hunt, by emailing policy@wmblidems.org
Please also consider having Local Party meetings - whether official executive meetings, AGM's or chats in the pub - to form policy ideas and sent them on. Even if you can't give us a fully-formed policy submission, please let us have your ideas and we can help build this up to a policy submission for you.
