PUPILS QUIZ SOLIHULL MP FOR SCHOOL NEWSPAPER10.23.06pm GMT Tue 3rd Apr 2007 Sixth Year pupils from Coppice Junior in Elmdon Heath quizzed Solihull MP, Lorely Burt last week as part of their efforts to write a school newspaper. The budding journalists prepared '20 questions' to ask Mrs Burt about her work as an MP and a whole variety of topics including global warming. Pupil Matt Neale took a photograph for the school publication. Left to right with Lorely being photographed by Matt were Hannah Cardoza, Callum Fisher, Christina Sabbagh, William Jeffs and Elizabeth Hayward. Headteacher, Mrs Lorraine Armstrong said: "The idea of writing our own newspaper is to give children the experience of researching information and contacting people for stories. Pupils elected their own editors who are now working together as a team." Lorely Burt MP said:
"All of the pupils involved deserve the highest praise because their questions were very well thought through and challenging. I look forward to receiving a copy of the newspaper when it is finally completed.
