'SAVE YOUR EOC' CAMPAIGNERS PRESS TO FIND A NEW WAY FORWARD1.41.48pm GMT Wed 12th Sep 2007 Bransford EOC staff and Richard Burt, (Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for West Worcestershire and West Midlands Parliamentary Spokesman for Health) are today sending a supplementary submission to the West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust (WMAST). The supplementary submission builds upon the alternative proposal sent to WMAST on 22 August, and looks at working with the Trust executives to find a new way forward. Lead staff campaigner, Liz Kabani said: "I am delighted that the Trust has postponed their decision in order to allow more time for public views to be taken into account. "I now hope that we can work together to find a common way forward for ambulance cover in the West Midlands." The document outlines new measures to be undertaken by the "save your EOC" campaigners, including Richard Burt's health survey of 42,000 homes across the West Worcestershire parliamentary constituency to see what local people think of the Trust's current proposals. "This supplementary submission builds upon our suggestions outlined in our alternative proposal and strengthens the case for retaining Bransford" added Mr. Burt. "We all want to see a better level of service for local people, and believe that we can work constructively with Trust executives to achieve this end."
