PARLIAMENTARY HOPEFUL PROMOTES TENBURY CIVIC SOCIETY AND TOURISM

West Worcestershire's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt helped raise funds for the newly formed Tenbury and Burford Civic Society at a Christmas stall held in the Round Market last Saturday.

Mr Burt joined Civic Society members, Chris and Lucy Dell in an effort to promote the Society and raise funds for future activities in the town. The LibDem candidate also offered to help distribute copies of the Teme Valley Tourism Guide to Tourist Information Centres across the region in a bid to attract more visitors to the town.

"Following this summer's devastating floods, every opportunity must be taken to promote tourism and increase visitor numbers to the town over Christmas and into the New Year. I was delighted to be able to play a small part in promoting the work of the Civic Society and to help boost the local economy," said Richard Burt.
